TITLE: Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Human Health (Tenure Track) DEPARTMENT: Land Grant REPORTS TO: Chair, School of Agriculture, Community and the Sciences EFFECTIVE DATE: TBD EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-Time EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Exempt JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Human Health (Tenure Track) will provide leadership in developing, implementing, and managing a research program involving nutrition and wellness. The position will have a combination of research (75%) and Teaching (25%) components. The Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Human Health (Tenure Track) will provide leadership in developing, implementing, and managing a research program involving nutrition and wellness. The successful candidate’s research expertise could include the areas: metabolic syndrome, diabetes, obesity; the role of minerals, vitamin D, and bone health; food, the impact of natural compounds, such as acetogenins, in the diet, and public nutrition. This position should support programing in the use of food and nutrition to promote health and manage disease. The position should focus on the areas above in limited resource and minority communities, a dietitians and/or nutritionists background. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
