RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a Web Designer Specialist to join their team. The Web Designer Specialist will be supporting Project Helix: Platform Simplification. Their role is to simplify the platform, focusing on enhancing the developer experience and unifying existing tools. The goal is to merge two existing developer experiences into a single, best-in-class experience for ease of use. The majority of the project team is located in Cincinnati, with some support from a London-based team. Cincinnati is preferred, but remote work is possible during EST hours.Responsibilities:- Designs internal and external web pages, including layout, user interface graphics, navigation, and graphics for new product release and new web-hosted product offering
- Work closely with Web Developer on coding to integrate text, graphics, sound, and/or video and then the Web Administrator to implement pages or applications into production
- Assures web server and site technical performance
- Performs development and maintenance programming for web pages and web applications and performs web usability testing
- Develops, assesses and communicates website usage and security policies and standards
- May perform limited amount of Web programming and coding
- Provides technical assistance to Site Administrators
- May assist in the planning of overall company strategy involving Internet usage
- Generally responsible for the look, feel, operation, and functionality of a commercial website
- Designs and constructs web pages/sites and applications including incorporating graphic user interface features and other techniques
- Contributes to the design group's efforts to enhance the appeal of the organization's online offerings
- Designs the website to support the organization's strategies and goals relative to external communications
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of UX/UI design experience
- Demonstrable experience in design of high quality web/mobile products/portals/websites
- Experience in improving business metrics through user centric product design
- Expert level Figma skills
- Experience of Agile/Scrum dev environment
- Dev docs experience
- Payment industry experience is a plus, though not mandatory
- Emphasis on the quality of design and the ability to improve user flows and interfaces
- Backend technology (e.g., gateways, APIs)
- Frontend experiences offered to customers
- Streamline fragmented Point-of-Sale (POS) systems
- Improve developer experience across the platform
- Implement overarching navigation for seamless experience
- Enable users to self-identify their needs, potentially with a guided experience to help them through the process
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
