JOB SUMMARY
The part-time, Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist provides on-site service support for various tasks, including conversions, stock orders, order placement, handling of services and equipment, and expediting special product or service requests. This position provides a flexible schedule and requires approximately 4 to 6 hours of work per shift.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory; operate a motor vehicle and forklift (if position requires); strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work; Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visual acuity to perform activities such as: inspecting manufactured parts (with and without magnification), preparing/analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to distinguish colors and color variation of physical parts and components, as well as in documentation such as work instructions and engineering drawings. Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator. Positions in this classification bend, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing to perform work. Employees must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.
