Job Description
This nurse will function as part of an elite team of nurses trained to provide the highest level of nursing care to emergency and critically ill animals. This involves triage, CPR, pain management, imaging, anesthesia, administering medications, IV and urinary catheter placement. Teaching the future veterinarians and veterinary nurses is also a key responsibility for this position.
Qualifications
Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services A: 0-1 year of veterinary experience and board eligible within 3 months
Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services B: 1-2 years of veterinary experience and a CVT
Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services C: 3-4 years of veterinary experience and a CVT
We are hiring at all levels for this position. $20.00/hour is the minimum starting salary for an entry-level position. Minimum starting salaries increase with each level. Relevant education, experience, skills, and licenses/ certifications are among the factors considered in salary offers.
This position is a 36-hour shift 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This shift qualifies for a 30% shift differential. Mid shift, overnight and weekend shifts are all available.
