Responsible for creating and maintaining actionable roadmaps for the assigned FedEx Value Stream. The role involves understanding the interrelationship among defined FedEx Value Streams and their influence on the overall strategic business vision. The incumbent will articulate the connection between identified business needs and developed capabilities of the Value Stream roadmaps, considering the impact of broader industry and technology trends on the FedEx strategic business vision.
Essential Functions
- Engages with business and IT stakeholders to understand and document the FXG strategy for a Value Stream, including target capabilities, current state assessment, and recommendations for a transition plan.
- Collaborates with Portfolio Business Architects and Services IT Architects to apply architectural principles and break down FedEx Portfolio epics into actionable capability groupings for Value Stream teams.
- Supports the SAFe Value Stream/ART Kanban process and ART Product Management Team (PMT) by elaborating Value Stream/ART epics, collaborating on further elaboration of value stream backlog and Kanban processes, and providing architectural definition and guidance for Agile Teams.
- Leads collaboration efforts with the Business and IT architecture community to translate Value Stream goals and needs into actionable roadmaps.
- Actively works with Portfolio Architects to synchronize value stream execution with the strategic roadmap.
- Contributes to the growth of understanding and knowledge of Business Architecture practices, processes, and tools throughout FedEx.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education Bachelors degree in Engineering, Math, IT systems, or a related discipline that involves analyzing complex themes and translating them into smaller, simplified components.
Minimum Experience Five (5) years of experience with demonstrated success in creating business capability roadmaps, deconstructing complex concepts into smaller components, and implementing large-scale technical solutions on multiple organizational-wide projects or for large/extra-large Value Streams.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong strategic thinking, abstract reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
Systems thinking, supporting an engineered approach starting with the end in mind and mitigating the challenge of ongoing incrementalism challenges.
Influential leadership skills required to promote collaboration across Value Streams, Business Owners, and FedEx Senior Leadership.
In-depth knowledge of company operations and the broader FedEx enterprise.
Informed awareness of the impact and influence of broader industry and technology trends on the business.
Information Technology concept familiarity required.

Preferred Qualifications: Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: U.S Pay Range: $7,488.36 - 12,533.14
