We are seeking a UX Designer IV to join our Conversational team where we are iteratively designing and developing best in class experiences for our customers.
Responsible for crafting intuitive and engaging user experiences across chatbots, IVR applications, messaging apps, and other conversational interfaces.
Will leverage expertise in user-centered design principles, natural language processing (NLP), and conversational design methodologies to simplify complex design programs and products, converting the experiences into seamless and engaging.
What you'll be doing...
- Generate multiple design solutions based on analysis.
- Conduct user research to understand user needs, preferences, and behaviors in conversational interactions.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in conversational design, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing.
- Exhibit mastery of shared tools and software for design.
- Identify appropriate design problems and opportunities within a brief and recommend solutions.
- Participate in divergent and convergent group work.
- Work independently with some guidance to solve larger, more open-ended problems.
- Create prototypes and design mockups to visualize and test conversational experiences, iterating based on user feedback.
- Explore, refine, and document solutions thoroughly.
- Objectively evaluate and refine concepts based on learnings from prototypes.
- Update user personas for brands.
- Update and research UI elements available for the brand.
- Support testing related to design specifications.
- Review & provide feedback on basic designs, wireframes and prototypes.
- Create medium-complex flowcharts and logic flows.
- Support design team.
What we're looking for...
Great experience for voice and conversational design but also know that it's not just about that.
Your designs are grounded in what the user wants and needs.
What you build is new but somehow reflects exactly how people prefer to navigate via voice or chatbot.
You understand and balance both the user and the business perspective.
Understanding and meeting the needs of partners is your greatest strength, while also maintaining your own vision and point of view.
You believe that different perspectives create the best solutions and new groundbreaking designs.
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 7 or more years of experience in experience design, with a focus on conversational interfaces and channels
- Experience designing conversational interfaces for chatbots, voice assistants, messaging apps, or other conversational channels.
- Experience with Figma, Lucidchart, Sketch and/or related tools.
- Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) principles and techniques is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in an agile development environment is preferred.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- A degree in design or related field of study.
- Ability to digest and translate complex technical requirements into intuitive experiences.
- Experience with tools for analysis and comprehension of language, including features such as sentiment analysis, entity recognition, and language identification.
- Experience with JIRA.
- Experience with Smart Sheets and/or Google Suite.
