The Director of Business Management is a critical and trusted leadership role as the strategic right-hand person to the Vice President of Advertising Operations & Client Services at Walmart Connect. The Advertising Operations & Client Services team at Walmart Connect is comprised of 4 core groups with associates in 5 hub locations across the US, India, and Mexico (about 800 associates): Yield Strategy & Management, Revenue Operations, Client Services, and Media Insights. Responsible for the end-to-end strategy and execution of the lifecycle of a deal.

The Director of Business Management will use strong leadership and problem-solving skills to assist with the daily operation of the organization. The position will work vertically and horizontally with responsibilities that span high-level strategy down to business management / operations tasks. The person in this role will immediately impact our productivity, streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing program management, and communicating objectives between departments.

The Director of Business Management will set strategies, develop cross-functional execution plans, identify success metrics, and communicate progress against goals. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in executive-level advising, project execution, and key interdepartmental collaboration. Ultimately, the primary function of this role is to ensure everything runs smoothly within Advertising Operations & Client Services. This is a fast-paced, think-on-your-feet position as you interact and build key relationships with business leaders across the organization.

The right candidate will define, drive, and deliver effective business strategies to ensure the organization remains competitive, efficient, focused and energized.

NOTE, this is a people leadership role.

What You'll Do:

  • Build and champion a people-first culture.
  • Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of leadership and departmental heads.
  • Review, design, and execute improvements to organization structure. Drive organizational change as appropriate.
  • Define and manage organizational strategy (annual and ongoing), objective, and roadmap for Advertising Operations & Client Services.
  • Organize, track, and evaluate the impact of our strategies and initiatives over time. Communicate project status to stakeholders and key project participants.
  • Manage and facilitate Advertising Operations & Client Services rhythm of the business (ex: leadership meetings & offsites, presentations, agendas, follow-ups, etc.).
  • Develop positioning and presentation slides about team objectives, processes, collaboration, etc. to ensure clear and effective communications across the organization.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, influence outcomes, and drive accountability to help ensure the organization is on path to hitting priority goals, objectives, and metrics.
  • Determine key performance indicators and how to measure team performance. Work with leadership to deliver, monitor, and communicate progress towards goals.
  • Continuously seek to improve processes and streamline collaboration across team members.
  • Proactively address pressing business issues that need immediate attention.
  • Communicate with effectiveness - grasp, structure, and explain complex problems in an easily digestible manner and provide thoughtful and sound recommendations.
  • Build positive relationships across the organization at all levels to drive influence.

Experiences You Should Have:
  • Relevant professional digital media experience required in advertising, operations, insights, or client services.
  • Broad business experience driving execution and adoption of key strategic programs across large teams.
  • Able to think and act creatively, championing and promoting new ideas that contribute to the goals of the organization and the department.
  • Proven ability to develop and lead the implementation of communications strategy, policy, and operational plans to a successful outcome.
  • Comfortable holding team members accountable to project deadlines and identifying areas in need of support.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly independent environment, and juggle multiple ongoing projects, responsibilities, and relationships.
  • Project management skills and experience.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
