Academic Req: Required - High school diploma, or equivalent; Preferred - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Certifications: First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention
Work experience: Required - Two (2) plus years of related experience and/or training; Preferred - Four (4) plus years of related experience and/or training
Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:
1. Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position.
2. Participate in scheduled meetings, in-service training, and team decisions as needed.
3. Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members and complying with required dress code at all times.
4. Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the child and program operations.
5. Communicate effectively and professionally by phone or face-to-face with agency staff, vendors, community members and regulatory and contract staff.
6. Compile, prepare, submit, and maintain accurate records, files, forms, statistics and additional information in accordance with agency policies, licensing and/or contract requirements.
7. Participate in scheduled meetings, team decisions and operations.
8. Implement Compass Connections safety protocols including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency.
9. Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed and as requested by the supervisor.
10. Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the child and program operations.
11. Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members and complying with required dress code at all times.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a comprehensive documentation system and be able to locate and retrieve training records as needed.
2. Develops, prepares and/or maintains documentation pertaining to training processes, tracking system and other training protocols.
3. Receives, tracks and documents training completion for all staff in a timely manner.
4. Utilizes internal data systems to identify training non-compliance.
5. Utilizes internal software and applications for electronic filing.
6. Maintains and files training documentation in the employee training binder.
7. Assists with both internal and external documentation audits.
8. Complete timely and accurate documentation or training in accordance with agency policies and procedures and contract and regulatory requirements and standards.
9. Meet all deadlines required by program supervisor and federal partners.
10. Other duties as assigned.
11. Foster Care Programs - Support, encourage, and recruit foster parents.
Requirements:
1.Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
2. Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
3. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.
4. Demonstrate the ability to:
a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
b. Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.
c. Organize and prioritize responsibilities and duties efficiently.
d. Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.
e. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
f. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
5. Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
