The University of Iowa is looking for a dynamic Trainer and Organizational Consultant to develop and deliver high-impact training programs that enhance business performance and support our strategic plan. This role focuses on professional development for supervisors and staff, including performance management, engagement, and change management.
You will create and facilitate engaging training sessions, assess their effectiveness, and keep content current. You will leverage technology, including the UI's LMS, to enhance training delivery, provide constructive feedback, and support to participants. Coordinating operational training activities and using data to inform training improvements are key responsibilities.
As a consultant, you will offer expert advice on organizational effectiveness, collaborate with university leaders to drive positive changes, and provide tools and feedback to improve team performance, with specific emphasis on change management initiatives.
This position is eligible for hybrid work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.
After training and onboarding is complete, this position can be hybrid, with 40% of time working on campus, and 60% of time working remotely.
