What You Will Do

The Toolmaker will work with EDM equipment and programming using our current CAD/CAM Systems. They may also perform Advanced CNC Milling skills according to tool room needs. Key Duties:

• Set-up and operate multiple CNC equipment, CNC EDM Die Sink, Wire EDM, Milling and/or turning machine, polishing and high precision grinding operations tools using test graphic information supplies from the CAD/CAM system.
• Perform precision work to a close tolerance on components that have had considerable value added to them by previous processes.
• Load, check, and run tooling and programs.
• Monitor and maintain tooling during job run.
• Perform in-process inspection and documentation results.
• Support continuous improvement ideas and concepts.
• Support and monitor production tooling.

What You Will Bring

• Required Degree: High School degree or GED equivalent.
• Years of Experience: 1-3 years relevant experience.
• Experience using inspection equipment accurately.
• Ability to read work instructions and interpret engineering graphics.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work productively with engineering, production and toolroom employees.
• Ability to work any assigned shift and extra hours as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds 1-5 times per day.
• Ability to differentiate colors.
