Baer is looking for a Technical Workstream Project Manager for a 6-month Federal remote project located in Harrisburg, PA.

Title: Technical Workstream Project Manager
Location: Hybrid - Harrisburg, PA
Duration: 6 months
Rate: Added + Expenses
Alignment: W2 or C2C (Vendors Not Permitted)

Description:

• Oversee and define the activities of the technical workstream for a large-scale S/4HANA and SF Employee Central implementation, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines. This includes but is not limited to landscape management, client strategy, sizing, transport management, analytics, security, and development.
• Develop detailed project plans for the technical team and ensure that project activities are completed on time, within scope, and according to the defined budget. Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders.
• Manage and allocate resources effectively for the technical team. Ensure that team members are supported, tasks are clear, and workloads are balanced.
• Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPoC) for the technical team, working closely with the executive leadership team, SAP RISE team, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration and communication across workstreams.
• Guide the technical team in adopting SAP's recommended best practices, ensuring that the solution is implemented according to industry standards. Work with the team to identify and address potential technical risks, issues, and bottlenecks.
• Liaise with the SAP RISE team to ensure successful provisioning, backup processes, availability, and other critical infrastructure-related activities.
• Establish governance processes and quality assurance mechanisms to ensure the technical solution aligns with the project's defined objectives and quality standards.
• Maintain a customer-first approach, ensuring all technical workstream activities align with client expectations and business requirements, particularly for public sector and state/local government environments.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of project management experience, with a focus on managing technical workstreams in large-scale SAP implementations.
• Strong expertise in S/4HANA implementation projects, with a proven track record of managing complex, multi-phase, large-scale enterprise solutions.
• Extensive experience with SAP's recommended best practices, and in particular, knowledge of Cloud ALM for managing SAP environments.
• Sufficient technical knowledge to define required work, review deliverables, and ensure alignment with SAP best practices, especially related to S/4HANA and SF Employee Central implementations.
• Understanding of critical SAP functional modules such as FI/CO, OTC, Procurement, EAM, PS, HCM (Payroll, Time, Benefits), Document Management, BW, and GRC.
• Experience in the public sector (state and local government) or other highly regulated industries is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer-first approach, with the ability to manage and prioritize stakeholder expectations, both internal and external.
• Expertise in traditional waterfall and/or agile project management methodologies.
• Ability to develop and manage detailed project plans, track milestones, and manage project risks and issues.
