Seeking qualified candidate for a Technical Research Assistant to work on multiple studies of aging and Alzheimer's disease at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Neurology Department. Working under general supervision from lab members, the person in this role will apply statistical and laboratory techniques to imaging and biofluid biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease. Specifically, image processing techniques such as lesion segmentation, image registration, multimodal fusion, and convolutional neural networks on neuroimaging data will be combined with laboratory-based immunoassays to investigate novel biomarkers. Candidate will participate in ongoing experiments, collaborate with researchers, contribute to discussions, and assist with data management. This is a great opportunity for a master's student who is looking for research experience. Demonstrating examples of using Python-based programming for medical notes text mining and convolutional neuronal networks for neuroimaging feature extraction is a plus.
