We are currently seeking an Operations Team Lead for our manufacturing area. This role leads a team of operations associates and supports work assignments for lean manufacturing including standardized work procedures, identifying improvement opportunities and working as a liaison between operations, engineering, and management to solve operational work flow problems. While being a leader among the operations team, general duties include supporting day to day cell operations to include training, picking, assembling, calibrating, and packaging. Machine set-up and equipment operation required, as well as trouble-shooting, light maintenance of equipment, and public speaking as the leader of team communications.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure work group adherence to all safety policies, processes, PPE requirements, and involvement with the site Environment, Health, and Safety team.

  • Leadership of the day-to-day workgroup operations to include training of new associates on equipment, tools, and work instructions. Assist manager and planners in prioritizing workload and schedule to meet customer demand. And provide associate accountability and lead team meetings for communication, performance metrics, and daily results.

  • Act as the first responder to work group issues to include tracking down parts, working with Material Planners to resolve Kanban issues, troubleshooting equipment, identifying points of failure in the flow of production, developing and implementing countermeasures, and escalating yield issues or associate conflicts when necessary.

Required qualifications for this job include:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or assembly work environment, and moderate knowledge with Kanban inventory management system.

  • Possess moderate reading, writing, communication, and math skills, and demonstrate a positive, motivated, and quality conscience attitude.

  • Skilled in problem solving, investigation, recognition unusual situations, and effective with time management and work prioritization.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Maintaining standard work documentation including work instructions, deviations, and standard work changes (red lines).

  • Familiarity or participation in continuous improvement efforts in support of lean manufacturing processes, problem solving teams, and/or Kaizen events (5S, Standard Work, Problem Solving Process).

Pay transparency language for locations where it may be required by law:

The hourly range for this role is $25 - $28. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
