Definition:
Under the supervision of the Asset Management Systems Supervisor or Manager, the Systems Analyst creates, supports, implements, and keeps the HxGN EAM technology that supports the repair, maintenance, replacement, and work planning for infrastructure assets. Provides end-user support either remotely or in the field. Performs other related work and analysis as needed.
Distinguishing Features:
The System Analyst supports the effective use of the EAM system. The System Analyst updates the system configuration as needed per business process and data requirement changes, provides end-user support, coordinates with field and office personnel of multiple departments, and uses BI tools to aid in data quality, asset performance, asset failure, and work management performance analyses.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
· Supports end-users of the system in areas such as: reviewing and auditing user access, creating training materials, training end-users, delivering reports in support of business operations, supporting online system documentation.
· Supports end-user requests using and managing the JIRA ticketing system.
· Confidently communicates and presents SJW best practices and effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
· Collaborates with supervisors, users, developers, and other system leads to improve field applications and computing related to work and asset management.
· Supports data analysis using reporting services, analytical tools, and database skills.
· Assist senior team members with EAM data integrations of other business systems.
· Supports mobile application maintenance.
· Supports EAM maintenance.
· Performs BI data analytics reporting, visualization, and dashboards for work and asset management.
Education and Experience:
· A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
· Basic experience using or administering an EAM system (e.g., HxGN EAM, Maximo, SAP etc.) is desired.
· Experience writing basic SQL against relational database systems.
· Experience performing analysis and using BI & analytics tools is desired.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Excellent written and oral communication skills to work with and resolve issues with end-users across various departments and levels of the organization.
· Ability to map business process flows and helps translate these items into technical configuration of EAM.
· Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, to meet deadlines.
· Ability to resolve issues through the JIRA ticketing system.
· Ability to obtain the Association of Asset Management Professionals Certified Reliability Certification (CRL) within 2 years.
