RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Spring, TX that is seeking a highly skilled System Engineer to join their GTM/OEM engineering team.Key Responsibilities:- System Engineer will develop and maintain hardware systems, focusing on servers (Dell or Company equipment)
- Write and maintain automation scripts in Python or Shell scripting (at least 40% of the time)
- Configure and manage RAID controllers and network interface cards (NICs)
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues, including Intel and NIC complications
- As a System Engineer, you will utilize Linux for system management and operations
- Leverage HP tools for system configuration and management (a major plus)
- Interact with customers to understand their specifications and provide technical support
- Conduct hands-on lab work to run test cases and work on system configurations
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7-10 years of experience in systems engineering with a hardware focus
- Extensive experience with servers, particularly Dell or Company equipment
- Hands-on experience in a lab environment, working on configurations and running test cases, with the ability to work onsite
- In-depth knowledge of RAID controllers, NICs, and connectivity testing
- Strong programming skills in Python or Shell scripting
- Proficiency in Linux
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact effectively with customer
- Experience with HP tools is highly desirable
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
