Stryker Mechanic

Fort Cavazos, TX

Contract Position

$28.58/Hour

Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Support the maintenance and repair of Stryker armored vehicles, ensuring their durability, mobility, and performance to meet the needs of military personnel worldwide.
• Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on Stryker vehicles, including automotive systems (engine, transmission, cooling, fuel, exhaust, driveline, and suspension).
• Conduct preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on Stryker vehicles.
• Repair subsystems, components, and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) by disassembling, replacing, adjusting, reassembling, and testing parts using technical documentation.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and other vehicle-specific systems.
• Read and interpret troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures, schematics, and flow diagrams.
• Maintain accountability for tools, test equipment, and property.
• Complete maintenance and administrative forms, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Operate computers and use Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to support maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or documented technical training preferred.
• Experience: 1-3 years of related work experience.
• Eligibility: Must be a U.S. person and meet ASR requirements for military facility access.
• Technical Skills:
  • Ability to identify parts using IETM, schematics, and vehicle configurations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting turret systems and related LRUs preferred.
• Preferred Knowledge: Experience with GDLS products, military terminology, and related processes.
• Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel domestically (CONUS) and internationally (OCONUS), if required.
  • Physical ability to work in various maintenance environments and adjust to changing schedules.
