The Environmental Engineering and Consulting team delivers solutions for complex environmental challenges using our regulatory expertise and implementing practical and cost-effective compliance management processes and programs. We address our clients' biggest concerns around permitting, ecoservices, assessment, and remediation.

Our highly trained and experienced engineers and scientists, environmental and remediation specialists, geologists, hydrogeologists, biologists, and environmental compliance specialists work with both public- and private-sector clients, delivering turnkey solutions.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Our Scientist/Engineer position is located in Sandy Springs, just outside Atlanta.

As a key member of the Permitting and Compliance team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

  • Conducting site visits to gather data and information and collecting samples (soil, water, air) to support environmental compliance at industrial, commercial, and institutional sites
  • Drafting air permit applications, calculating greenhouse gas (GHG) and emission inventories, and preparing regulatory reports
  • Writing compliance plans including Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans
  • Performing environmental compliance audits, drafting reports, and assisting with corrective action programs
  • Assisting with communications between clients and regulators
  • Practicing safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university.
  • Clean driving record with the ability to drive to client sites
  • Ability to complete occasional overnight travel
  • Occasional work on weekends or after-hours at client sites may be required based on client requirements
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years related experience
  • General understanding and experience with environmental regulations
  • Current OSHA HAZWOPER 40 HR/8 HR training
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Professional Certification
