A family office, managing both real estate and agricultural operations, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about working across diverse industries. You will be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable (A/P) processes while supporting broader accounting functions to ensure the financial health of the organization.

Location: Westwood 90025, California. On-site M-F
Salary: $70,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable Management:
  • Process and manage A/P transactions including matching, batching, coding, and ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Handle vendor management, including setting up new vendors, managing relationships, and resolving payment issues.
  • Process checks, manage invoice filing, and ensure adherence to company policies.
• General Accounting Support:
  • Assist with daily accounting operations, including bank and account reconciliations.
  • Contribute to the month-end close process, including G/L review, journal entries, and financial reporting.
  • Participate in internal audits and maintain accurate financial records.
• Project Management & Organization:
  • Manage multiple accounting tasks and projects simultaneously, while prioritizing work effectively.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure deadlines are met and projects are completed accurately.
• Systems Savvy:
  • Use MS Office and accounting software packages efficiently to perform daily tasks.
  • Adapt quickly to new systems and technologies as required.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and experience with accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a team-oriented and collaborative mind set.
