Beacon Hill Financial is working with a non-profit in Arlington, VA to bring a well-rounded Staff Accountant to their team. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with a combination of in-office and remote work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The Staff Accountant will work closely with senior accounting staff and other departments to support the overall financial operations of the organization. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in the preparation for audits, including providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
• Participate in process improvements to increase efficiency in accounting operations.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the accounting manager or senior staff.
