Primary Role

Responsible for performing a variety of complex administrative activities and support involving the operations of water treatment and distribution systems, field operations and/or regulatory compliance. Also responsible for training and taking a leadership role with the System Records Tech position. Large tap processing from inception to the installation of the tap by the field is primarily handled by the Senior System Records Tech position.

Key Accountabilities

  • Processes and maintains a variety of complex accounting information including, but not limited to, payroll, accounts payable, invoices, contractor payments, inventory issues/receipts, purchase orders, and customer payments.
  • Researches, compiles and updates information in various systems, including database, spreadsheet and word processing programs.
  • Maintains business records; Interacts with internal/external customers regarding various issues and provides any additional assistance.
  • Researches and resolves critical customer questions, concerns, difficulties, inquiries and/or problems.
  • Prepares and responds to data requests and executes work orders, service orders, error reports, set-ups, etc. in various configurations such as Powerplant, Orcom, SAP and ARCGis.
  • Compiles and reviews numerous multifaceted reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Coordinates internal employees/external contractors in the development & construction of privately owned fire services.
  • Facilitates knowledge sharing of current/new business practices and procedures.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Knowledge of office procedures, math, water distribution systems and water/wastewater field operations.
  • Knowledge of computer programs and network, including word and excel, databases, graphics and/or GIS.
  • Advanced communications skills, organization and customer service skills, analystical skills and innovative problem solving techniques with the ability to puruse timely and practical solutions.
  • Must be detail oriented and capable of accurately computing and recording numbers.
  • Ability to work with various member of the public including authorities, a diverse customer base, contractors, developers, as well as employees of various levels of the organizational sturcture within the company.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Experience/Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Some college courses preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum of 7+ years related clerical experience required.

Work Environment

  • General office environment.
  • In some instances must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. maximum and occasionally lift various items.
