Job Title: Project Manager - Lighting Retrofit Projects

Job Summary:

Project Managers are responsible for overseeing turnkey lighting retrofit projects for medium to large national retail and commercial customers. This role involves managing projects through their entire lifecycle, including planning, initiation, execution, and closure, with the goals of reducing energy consumption, improving occupant comfort and safety, and enhancing aesthetics. Project Managers will handle multiple projects simultaneously, often facing unexpected challenges and shifting priorities, and will play a key role in shaping company-wide lighting recommendations and standard practices.

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage client engagement, product purchasing, budgeting, installation, logistics, and rebate facilitation for approved projects.
• Oversee our client's base scope projects and understand the systems and their impacts.
• Address technical and non-technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders, including property managers, building owners, engineers, subcontractors, manufacturers, and vendors.
• Ensure effective project handoff from Solutions Manager.
• Drive internal communication on project management progress.
• Plan, manage, and report on project status.
• Gain proficiency in project management systems and tools (Oracle, Salesforce, proprietary Proposal Tool).
• Negotiate labor pricing and site assignments for go-back work.
• Manage Labor Partners for all installation activities.
• Review, approve, and complete all project documentation by task due dates.
• Close out customer billing and Labor Partner invoicing tasks on time.
• Track and ensure timely completion of project go-backs.
• Collaborate with Project Coordinators for customer pre and post calls.
• Communicate change order activities to account management and customers.
• Manage change order tasks to maintain established Project GM.
• Identify and recommend additional project resources as needed.
• Maintain and monitor project financials and profitability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and OneNote.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
• Ability to meet deadlines and hold others accountable.

Education:

• Four-year degree preferred in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience Required:

• Project management experience in high volume and multi-unit project situations.
• Experience managing third-party vendors, including onsite contractors.

Experience Preferred/Other Qualifications:

• Knowledge of lighting, electrical, and LED technologies.
• Experience in lighting project management (industrial, commercial, retail).
• Facilities operations experience.

Physical Job Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Availability for support during off hours, including some weekends and evenings/nights.
• Ability to travel up to 10%, with potential for extended onsite project management.
• Occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
