What to Expect

Assist assigned business partners in execution of the competitive sourcing process and contract negotiation with the chosen vendors. This position is responsible for managing the support and execution of procurement strategies, optimizing supplier base, and achieving savings target with a focus on quality.

What You Will Do

1.Procurement Contract Administration and Collaboration

• Assist in the development, negotiation, and management of procurement contracts to ensure compliance with organizational standards

• Collaborate with supported business units to facilitate procurement processes and ensure smooth execution

• Maintain positive relationships with business units

• Ensure alignment of procurement contracts with business requirements and compliance regulations.

2. Contract Support & Negotiation

• Assist in contract negotiations with vendors

• Review and check contract terms to ensure they align with company goals and policies

• Help negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to get the best value for the company

• Work with legal to ensure contracts meet compliance and manage risks

• Help resolve any issues or discrepancies in contract terms

• Ensure that agreed terms are clearly written and included in the final contract

3. Contract Compliance and Vendor Maintenance

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contracts, amendments.

• Monitor the contract process to ensure compliance with current policies and procedures.

• Assist in resolving contract-related issues and disputes between business units and vendors

4. Purchase Requisition Approval and Compliance Management

• Review and approve purchase requisitions to ensure they comply with organizational policies

• Verify that requisitions align with approved budgets and procurement plans

• Ensure that requisitions align with existing contracts and terms

• Approve requisitions within the established approval hierarchy

• Ensure timely processing of requisitions to support project or operational timelines

5. Develop strong relationships with key business units and decision makers.

Act upon business units' short/long term strategic and tactical objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 - 6 years of procurement experience including creating data reports based on vendor metrics.

• Systems familiarity (Oracle ERP, SharePoint).

• Strong financial background.

• Knowledge in contracting skills, contracting principles, laws, regulations and industry standards.

• Intermediate knowledge of standard procurement practices and techniques, e.g., market knowledge and data analysis, cost management, vendor selection, negotiation, vendor management, etc.

• Demonstrated skills in negotiation planning and execution.

• Knowledge in various spend categories.

• Proficient in spend analytics and strategy presentation.

• Ability to influence procurement decision to senior leadership level.

• Ability to effectively engage with and present to all levels of management.

• Ability to facilitate collaboration with diverse groups and manage multiple procurement projects in parallel.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; superb presentation skills. • Self-directed and results oriented.

• Flexible, adaptable and hands-on approach. Ability to operate in a dynamic environment.

• Strong PC: Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel; Web based computer skills in web searches.
