We are currently seeking a Sr. Manager, Global Marketing Communications who will oversee and elevate Molecular Devices' product and brand portfolio, crafting and implementing a cohesive, innovative communications strategy across digital, social, and industry-specific channels. This role is pivotal in developing team capabilities, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and aligning communication initiatives with product and business objectives to drive brand prominence. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Marketing, this leader will spearhead both strategic and tactical efforts to amplify brand messaging while effectively managing both remote and onsite marketing teams.

What we'll get you doing

  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing, globally distributed marketing communications team, to position Molecular Devices as a market leader in each target segment.
  • Communication Strategy & Execution: Design and execute multi-channel communication strategies, including portfolio positioning, messaging, digital engagement, and public relations, to fortify corporate and product brand identity. Collaborate with commercial teams to plan and execute impactful internal and external events, ensuring consistent and appropriate brand representation.
  • Digital Transformation & Customer Experience: Develop a digital strategy execution plan, encompassing web properties, social media, and campaign management to deliver an exceptional customer experience and engagement.
  • Sales Enablement: Develop and implement sales enablement strategies to drive lead generation and empower sales teams with effective collateral and tools that support the sales process and enhance conversion.
  • Cross-Functional Global Collaboration: Influence and align with Global Product Marketing, Regional Marketing, Sales, Application Scientists, Regulatory, and Legal to ensure cohesive communication strategies that support company goals. Partner with teams across Europe, Japan, and China to drive growth strategies tailored to each region.
  • Brand Stewardship: Drive brand strategy and tactical implementation to enhance brand awareness, expand market penetration, and ensure alignment with profitability and growth objectives.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish metrics to monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of marketing programs and campaigns to key stakeholders, ensuring data-driven investment decisions. Set clear goals and stretch targets aligned with business objectives to drive continuous improvement and measure impact on company performance.

The essential requirements of the role include:

  • Education: BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; knowledge of life science workflows is advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in marketing communications, preferably within biotechnology or life sciences, with a track record in managing complex product launches and leading marketing teams.
  • Goal-Driven Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading marketing teams with clear goals and targets to drive business growth and contribute to the sales pipeline.
  • Skills: Proficiency in multi-channel campaign development, digital marketing, and team management; experience in cross-functional leadership and collaboration with executive stakeholders.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with expertise in influencing, negotiation, and strategic communication.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead remote and onsite teams in dynamic, fast-changing environments.
  • Strategic thinker with creative campaign execution skills, adept at developing communication frameworks and engaging diverse, distributed audiences.

The salary range for this role is $160,000-$185,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
