YETI is looking for an experienced, self-motivated Senior Manager, Digital Product Design for YETI.com/YETI.ca, delivering seamless and impactful user experiences across our digital product swim lanes. In this role, you will report directly to our Director, Digital Product Management.
As the Senior Manager, Digital Product Design, you will lead the Digital Product Design team's design work on our digital experiences and products, driven by the digital commercial strategy and executed in a manner consistent with brand standards and experience.
In partnership with the digital product managers, you will be responsible for the holistic user journey from concept through implementation and iteration.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including digital product, design, engineering, content and site merchandising, and marketing to create user-centered designs that align with business goals and user needs.
You will own and maintain the YETI digital style guide for an evolving digital experience and product catalog, ensuring that partners across teams have a clear, accurate, shared point of reference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of digital product designers, providing guidance and feedback on design work, driven by the digital commercial strategy and executed in a manner consistent with brand standards and experience.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define product vision and user experience goals.
- Develop user personas, journey maps, and wireframes to communicate design concepts.
- Create high-fidelity prototypes and design specifications for development teams.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the organization.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in digital product design and technology.
- Leadership of design and structure complex information systems and workflows.
- Review that user flows and solutions meet best practice for design and implementation, while addressing user needs and business objectives.
- Establish and enforce digital product design standards, guidelines, and best practices across digital experience swim lanes.
- Create alignment between SFCC component library and Figma style guide, reducing duplication of components, ensuring best practice design and implementation, limiting bespoke solutions and protecting positive site performance.
- As part of digital style guide:
- Maintain an updated journey map with iterative and transformational site changes.
- Maintain navigation architecture and taxonomy guidelines.
- Ensure consistency and quality in the design deliverables.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in UX design, with a focus on leading design projects.
- 4+ years of team management or leadership.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and processes.
- Proficiency in Figma, and familiarity with other design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Experience with user research methodologies, and a/b and usability testing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including ability to present and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to think critically and solve complex design problems.
