Position Overview:
As a Senior Level Buyer reporting to the Divisional Procurement Partner, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the global procurement function, including strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation. Demonstrating your extensive experience and industry knowledge, you will play a pivotal role in driving cost savings, mitigating risks, and ensuring operational efficiency across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize supplier selection, drive cost savings, and enhance overall value proposition for the organization.
2. Lead sophisticated contract negotiations and vendor agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions while mitigating risks and growing value.
3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews, encouraging teamwork, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and quality assurance, to align procurement activities with business objectives and operational requirements.
5. Apply data analytics and market intelligence to identify emerging trends, assess supplier capabilities, and mitigate supply chain risks.
6. Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the procurement team, encouraging their professional development and cultivating a culture of perfection.
7. Lead initiatives to streamline procurement processes, optimize inventory management practices, operational efficiency and reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
8. Stay abreast of industry regulations, market dynamics, and new technologies to proactively find opportunities and drive innovation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is highly desirable.
Minimum of [8] years of dynamic experience in procurement or supply chain management roles, with a proven track record of success in strategic sourcing and supplier management.
Strong negotiation skills and proven experience in contract management, supplier relationship management, and cost optimization.
Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems, as well as sophisticated proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel or Tableau.
Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal customers and external partners.- Approach centered around achieving results, continuously improving, and delivering value to the organization.
Strong leadership capabilities with experience in mentoring and developing talent within the procurement function.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $92,900.00-$142,500.00.
