Position Overview

The Senior Recruiter will manage the full recruitment lifecycle for the non-exempt roles within the Area, primarily focusing on high-volume and specialized recruitment needs. This individual will collaborate with hiring managers and HR team members to develop recruiting strategies, ensure a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates, and promote the company's values and culture. The Senior Recruiter will also act as a resource for other Texas-area recruiters, providing guidance and supporting team-wide recruiting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Lead full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and recommending candidates for placement for assigned area.

• Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to attract top talent, including the use of job boards, social media, career fairs, and community and industry networking events.

• Act as a trusted partner to hiring managers by understanding their staffing needs, providing strategic recruitment solutions.

• Serve as a reliable advocate for candidates to communicate company benefits, compensation, and overview of the company.

• Provide expertise in both high-volume and specialized recruitment, ensuring the best possible candidate experience.

• Track and analyze recruiting metrics to assess hiring trends and performance, reporting regularly to the HR manager and operations teams.

• Work with HR and Safety teams to ensure that candidates are compliant with DOT and company safety regulations.

• Promote company values and culture during recruitment and onboarding processes.

• Ensure adherence to all relevant employment laws and regulations, including Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) compliance.

• Utilize Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to maintain accurate candidate records and streamline the recruitment process.

• Participate in and organize recruitment-related events, such as job fairs, workshops, and open houses, to increase company visibility and attract candidates.

• Regular attendance is required, with flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.

• Work with region team to support recruiting strategies as needed.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in high volume recruitment, ideally within a construction or industrial environment.

• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Bilingual (fluent) in English and Spanish is required.

Knowledge/Skills:

• In-depth understanding of recruitment best practices.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure.

• Familiarity with federal and state employment laws, as well as Affirmative Action compliance.

• Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, printers, and other standard tools.

• Adaptable: adjust effectively to work within new teams, structures, processes, requirements, and cultures while maintaining effectiveness.

• Team-Oriented: unite those around you to achieve goals and exceed expectations.

Work Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to safely operate a vehicle.

• Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time; during peak recruitment periods, travel may increase up to 50%.

• Ability to handle high-volume recruitment needs.

• Strict adherence to safety procedures, including compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements in designated areas.

• Recruits and manages interns up to twice a year. Coordinates intern activities and rotation for the business.

• Must feel comfortable speaking amongst large crowds.

• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear for extended periods.

• May occasionally lift or carry up to 10 lbs.

• Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• Standard office environment with moderate noise levels.

• Fast-paced with strict deadlines and the need for adaptability.
