Job Description:
The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services Communications Division is hiring a Marketing Specialist to elevate the agency's marketing strategies related to staff recruitment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience developing marketing campaigns, creating content, and tracking digital analytics, along with a creative eye and an interest in developing their skills.

Examples of work: (May not be assigned all the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all the duties that may be assigned.)

Research and determines the scope, nature, and target audience of agency recruitment marketing
Create custom marketing campaigns and build content to attract qualified job applicants
Assess the impact and effectiveness of marketing campaigns through tracking analytics
Update website landing pages and other web content

Minimum Qualifications & Preferred Qualifications: (Applicants will be screened for possession of these qualifications. Applicants who need accommodation in the selection process should request this in advance.) Completed at least two semesters of post-high school course work in business administration, journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, graphic arts, digital media, videography, or related field. Required experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of marketing strategies, analytics, and campaign management
• Knowledge of social media communication and brand principles
• Experience assessing the impact and effectiveness of marketing strategies
• (Preferred) Experience with video creation, graphic design, and website design
• (Preferred) Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, on-line design platforms (Visme, Canva, etc.), and Microsoft Office
• Ability to write engaging content
• Ability to creatively collaborate with a team
