Shipper / Receiver (Contract Role)

Job Description

*** PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION BASED OUT OF OUR LANCASTER, MA LOCATION ***

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform the physical and / or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
  
• May perform a variety of coordinating, routing and material handling duties.
  
• Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
  
• Lift heavy items and may operate a forklift.
  
• Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped.
  
• Post weights and shipping charges and prepare goods for final shipment.
  
• Examine, stocks and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
  
• Emphasis on shipping / receiving / stores.
  
• Work under general supervision on a wide range of assignments that require a substantial knowledge of the discipline or function.
