What will you be doing?
Provide technical and thought leadership in the development of infrastructure solutions for client, business and technology projects. As a recognized expert, design, cost-estimate, document and develop integrated solutions for on-prem data centers, multiple cloud and hybrid environments. Become an expert in the areas of technology deployed in the company's applications to guide implementation efforts, communicate strategy and educate stakeholders. Guide other architects and develop scripts, automation, tools, techniques and procedures to improve application performance and raise operational efficiency. Evaluate, perform POCs on, validate and recommend new technology options and alternatives.
Job Responsibilities
Develop complete infrastructure solutions to be implemented for client and internal technology projects, including Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, Visualization, Middleware, Database, Modeling, and the entire Data streamEnsure business and technical requirements are accurately understood and documentedEnsure designed solutions meet those requirements and are documented properly for flawless implementation, obtaining stakeholders' approval and concurrence on the objectives and impact of options chosen and trade-offs madeEngage with relevant teams to develop cost estimates for solutions and evaluate optionsGuide other architects and technology ops teams' implementation in cloud and data center environmentsDevelop and guide other architects in developing scripts, tools and procedures for orchestration, automation and efficiency improvementMaintain up to date knowledge of all relevant components of infrastructure, industry trends, vendor offerings and cost; and their potential application in company's products, services and solutionsChampion training and development of relevant skills and knowledge across technology, operations and business teamsDevelop Architectural Standards and technology roadmap; keeping them current and compliant with the help of the Architecture CouncilActively engage team, other functional colleagues and business stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of projects, delegating and managing tasks as neededRequirements
- Expertise and experience designing, configuring, and deploying complex IT infrastructure
- Experience developing infrastructure solutions for Big Data, database, Hadoop, web applications, data reference architecture in scalable web-based data analytic platforms
- On-prem Data Center, public and private cloud implementation experience with highly available solutions across Windows/Linux servers, applications, and storage (NAS, SAN and HSM) including network and security requirements, encryption, and certificate authority services
- Experience with new infrastructure design methods of application performance monitoring, debugging, and tuning
- Expert level knowledge and experience in:
- Linux Redhat/ CentOS; clusters
- Cloud platforms - Azure/ AWS/ GCP/ Oracle
- IBM Websphere App Servers/ Mulesoft/ Tomcat/ JBoss
- NAS and other storage
- Scripting and automation tools and techniques
- Strong working knowledge of:
- SSL/ VPN/ Citrix/ VDI, - SSO
- Networking, Palo Alto Firewall, F5 Load Balancer
- Active Directory/ LDAP
- PostGreSQL, Monet databases
- Hadoop
- Strong leadership, collaboration, communication, and delegation skills
- Ability to handle detail as well as envision big-picture ideas
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree a plus
- ITSM, ITIL, PM experience/knowledge a plus

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $140k to $160k.
This job is also eligible for [bonus/incentive/commissions/equity] pay.
