Description

The Mammalian Bioanalytics Characterization group, part of Sanofi's global CMC Development is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate. The successful candidate will utilize various bioanalytical tools including chromatography, electrophoresis, and mass spectrometry-based techniques to characterize protein biotherapeutics at all stages of development supporting the successful development of transformative medicines for a broad range of diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Perform protein sample preparation techniques including protein digestion on liquid handling systems.
  • Perform biochemical characterization techniques including chromatography and electrophoresis (such as CE-SDS and cIEF).
  • Perform LC-MS peptide mapping experiments, LC-MS instrument operation and data analysis.
  • Independently design and perform experiments and data analysis.
  • Collaborate and communicate with group members to support multiple programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Report experiment results in structured and concise manner.
  • Co-author technical reports, method protocols; present at internal meetings.
  • Adhere to timely and clear documentation of data including electronic lab notebook keeping.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry or related discipline, or a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and more than 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with protein sample preparation techniques, protein HPLC and electrophoresis.
  • Knowledge of principles of mass spectrometry, hands-on experience with LC-MS instrument operation and data analysis.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to details and strong analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in mass spectrometry characterization of monoclonal antibody (mAb).
  • Knowledge of protein biochemistry.
  • Strong teamwork skills and motivation to excel in both individual and team environments.
