SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, repairing discrepancies, and the overall safety of the aircraft operated by Tyson Foods Inc. Maintenance is performed on all aircraft systems including avionics, electrical, interior, powerplant, hydraulics, landing gear and airframe sheet metal. The technician must be able to read and understand the proper manufacture's maintenance manuals or other instructions which can include blueprints, wiring diagrams, system schematics and illustrated parts catalogs and is required to use methods techniques and practices set forth by these instructions. Other responsibilities include completion of required logbook entries updating aircraft maintenance tracking systems, spare parts management, ground support equipment maintenance and hangar maintenance. Other duties include weekly planning meetings, general cleaning, towing of aircraft, launching and recovering or aircraft and the completion of other responsibilities as the need arises.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Requires education beyond high school including vocational school and or college courses or experience resulting in completion of FAA Mechanic License with Airframe and Powerplant Ratings.
Experience: Minimum 10 year performing duties of a licensed technician. Gulfstream 500/600/700 experience preferred, a Initial FlightSafety or CAE initial is a plus but not required as we will send you to initial school.
Computer Skills: Requires basic computer skills. For example, the generation of simple letters data entry using templates and electronic mail.
Travel: Two or more trips per year.
Special Skills: Must be able to lift up to a 75-pound load. Must be willing to work nights and weekends and holidays if needed and in extreme heights or in confined spaces.
