Baer is looking for SAP FICO Architect with AMS offshore experience for a 36+ month project located in Bryn Mawr, PA.

Title: SAP FICO Architect with AMS offshore experience
Location: Remote and Bryn Mawr PA
Duration: 36 months
Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed
Alignment: C2C

Description:

• Prepare functional designs for business requirements and perform unit testing.
• Implement configuration changes as requested by the business team.
• Document functional requirements and functional specifications.
• Manage and coordinate inflight changes.
• Ensure minimal monthly service disruptions and align AMS/offshore teams to business needs.
• Coordinate with product vendors and internal development teams to resolve technical issues.
• Test fixes and implement solutions promptly.
• Proactively and reactively monitor in-scope modules to ensure seamless operations.
• Update technical documents as required to reflect changes and improvements.
• Support QA/Training system refresh activities by reviewing active transports and developments, and performing sanity checks, typically on a quarterly basis.
• Conduct testing related to enhancements and activities as per the SOW schedule scope.
• Perform master data updates and execute system processes on behalf of the business, including tasks such as loading new overhead rates and executing FERC processes.
• Prioritize incidents/requests/changes related to regulatory compliance.
• Ensure any regulatory audit changes are completed within required timelines.
• Manage incidents, problem management, and root cause analysis, ensuring a timely response according to SLAs.
• Manage parallel accounting, legal and management reporting integration, master data management, financial statement versions, ledgers, predictive accounting, periodic closing, and reporting/analytics.
• Support one controlling area across 39 company codes, focusing on profit centers, regulatory reporting, and chart of accounts management.
• Handle A/P invoice management, outgoing payments, 1099 process, GL integration, and related reporting/analytics.
• Oversee A/R invoice management, incoming payments, collections management, GL integration, and reporting.
• Support multiple reporting structures, including GAAP, FERC, and NARUC.
• Manage cash and liquidity, investment management, payment approval, bank reconciliation, cash flow projections, and treasury/risk management.
• Manage asset accounting, unitization, AFUDC calculation, tax repairs, tax depreciation, and deferred tax accounting.
• Oversee trip approvals, settlements, and reporting.
• Ensure on-site coverage from 8 am to 5 pm (M-F) with 24x7 response capability for critical issues.
• Meet the 10-minute response time SLA for critical issues and 2-hour response time for high-priority issues.
• Provide critical support during month-end close periods to avoid delays.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in SAP FICO modules.
• Extensive experience with S/4HANA Finance.
• Proven experience in managing AMS and offshore teams.
• Expertise in General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and Asset Accounting modules.
• Strong functional and technical expertise in SAP Finance.
• Strong coordination and communication skills to manage both onshore and offshore teams.
• Experience with regulatory reporting and compliance requirements, including SOX.
• Ability to perform under pressure, especially during critical month-end close periods.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degrees or SAP certifications are a plus.
