UNC Horizons Program seeks Residential Advisor to work in our residential treatment program for women with substance abuse issues and their children located in Chapel Hill.
Our Horizons Program operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
Residential Advisors provide individual and family support to the families in the UNC Horizons program. The RAs provide transportation, recovery support, observed urine drug screens, observation of medication self-administration, and basic life skills support. All staff are responsible to ensure the safety of the women and children in our program by conducting rounds. Residential advisors are also responsible for ensuring that the apartments are ready for incoming patients, searching program participant belongings, conducting random apartment searches, and other duties as assigned by the Lead RA or the Program Manager.
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:Prefer a candidate who has knowledge of or interest in gender-specific substance abuse treatment.
Special Physical/Mental Requirements :Must be able to ascend/descend stairs to complete rounds to check on patients with or without accommodation. Must be able to assist patients with moving in/out of the apartment with or without accommodation.
