Duties: The successful candidate should have an advanced understanding of immunology and direct experience with high-dimensional flow cytometry, cutting-edge sequencing techniques and studies using human cohorts. The candidate will take a leadership role to independently manage projects, work directly with a clinical coordinator to obtain human samples, and train and supervise technical staff and higher level scientists associated with his/her managed projects. Techniques will include the utilization of pre-existing 'multi-omic' platforms such as scRNA-seq, ATAC-seq and CyTOF, as well as helping with de novo design, optimization, and validation of new techniques as needed.
He/she must be able to use analytical and decision-making skills to implement and troubleshoot projects. He/she will also be responsible for creating advanced analyses and reports to be presented to the larger research group.
Responsibilities include serving as a liaison between the Principle Investigator and the technical team, managing and monitoring operations and timelines, and supervising technical staff and clinical coordinator.
Qualifications: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree and 5 years of experience.
A highly motivated individual (Ph.D.) in immunology, cancer biology or related field with knowledge of immunology and with direct experience in high-dimensional flow cytometry and high throughput sequencing techniques. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, effective communication skills, the ability to work as an effective member of a team, and be able to independently oversee initiation and completion of intermediate to complex, long-range tasks.
