Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories PSS is searching for an entry level Research Associate to work in the Residual Impurity Testing Group in Gaithersburg, MD.

Research Associate responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

  • Perform analytical assay method development and troubleshooting
  • Carry out analytical assay testing of recombinant protein therapeutics under cGMP conditions
  • Make detailed observations, analyze data, interpret results, and exercise appropriate technical discretion in the execution of experiments
  • Perform ELISA methods according to SOPs
  • Enter data into LIMs
  • Prepare solutions/buffers
  • Maintain lab stock supplies, order and receive reagents, and perform lab equipment maintenance
The ideal candidate would possess :
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Good time management, outstanding multi-tasking abilities, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a cGMP environment and a fast-paced team-centered setting
  • Ability to learn new techniques, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Basic Minimum Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, with 2-3 years of experience with ELISA in 96-well plate format is required
  • Prior experience with plate readers and data analysis with SofMax Pro, QuBAS, or Prism is a plus
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Gaithersburg, MD are encouraged to apply.
