SummaryThe Tulane University History Project is seeking a Research Assistant to support the project's efforts to research and develop a detailed history of the University and its campuses, with respect to its racial history and founding, including the impacts from segregation and slavery.
Responsibilities include:*Identifying, locating, and organizing research materials related to Tulane's history.*Coordinating internal and external research support.*Conducting historical research related to Tulane's history.*Managing the project's interview and oral history operations.*Participating in and supporting meetings, events, and initiatives sponsored by or related to the history project.
This is a full-time position that will terminate when the project ends.
* Bachelor's Degree in History, area studies, Library and Information Sciences, or relevant discipline.* Experience conducting historical research.
* Master's Degree or PhD in History, area studies or relevant discipline.* Experience conducting interviews or oral histories.
