Remote Pharmacy Technician with Appeals Experience
Our client is currently seeking a skilled Remote Pharmacy Technician with experience in appeals. As part of this role, you will collaborate with pharmacists, medical directors, and business partners to ensure efficient appeal review processes. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with pharmacists, medical directors, and business partners.
- Meet daily deadlines for appeal review, including case preparation, case closure, outreach, and proper system documentation.
- Handle external review submissions and peer-to-peer scheduling with attention to detail.
- Maintain excellent attendance and schedule adherence.
- Focus on accurate appeal case handling to prevent incorrect cases from going to clinical review.
- Achieve production and quality standards while fostering positive working relationships.
- Learn and navigate various Windows-based applications and appeals systems.
- Make outbound phone calls and faxes to collect clinical information for appeals related to E&I Commercial, E&I Medical Injectable, and new business products.
- Stay informed about changing policies, job aids, and resources to provide high-quality reviews.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Active state board of Pharmacy Technician Licensure or National Certification.
- 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office.
- Prior stable work history with excellent attendance and dependability.
- Intermediate (or higher) proficiency with Windows-based applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Remote work experience.
- Self-motivation and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in medical or clinical roles.
- 4+ years of pharmacy-related experience.
- Previous work as a Pharmacy Technician in retail, hospital, or specialty pharmacy settings.
