What You Will Contribute:
The Badger Meter Internship Program offers hands-on, real-world experience through impactful projects. Interns will engage in professional development, community outreach, and a final capstone project, while being exposed to various engineering disciplines including manufacturing, quality assurance, electronics, and industrial engineering.
We are looking for a Quality/Manufacturing Engineering Intern to work onsite at our Tulsa, OK facility full time this summer.
Job Duties:
- Process Improvement: Assist in continuous improvement activities such as process flow documentation, 5S implementation, and process enhancements. Support New Product Development through participation in team meetings and tasks.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and optimize inspection processes, manage customer certification and quality management systems, and coordinate internal audits and corrective action processes. Implement statistical analysis on products and processes.
- Manufacturing Support: Design fixtures, support production to ensure on-time delivery and high quality, and work on the manufacturing floor to improve yield. Conduct time studies, process maps, and capacity plans.
- Equipment & Document Management: Manage CMM equipment, calibration processes, and document control within the facility.
Education and Experience:
- Currently pursing an Bachelor's Degree in Industrial engineering or a related field required
- No prior experience necessary
Qualifications:
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, with additional knowledge in CAD, PC-DMIS software, and statistical analysis preferred.
- Basic understanding of lean principles and root cause analysis.
- Strong communication skills and a natural curiosity for problem-solving.

Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment
- Depending on the assigned department, must be able to complete an audiogram
