We are seeking a talented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our environmental team.The ideal candidate will have general experience in environmental sampling and writing or reviewing environmental reports before submittal for content and consistency. The candidate must demonstrate a willingness to learn and ability to work as a team member. This key role handles various aspects related to reviewing technical reports and field activities.

Responsibilities:
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reviewing and ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of environmental reports (mostly petroleum-related) prior to their submission.
- Ensure the reports are accurate, complete, and meet the client's needs as well as regulatory requirements.
- Verify the consistency and clarity of data and narrative sections across the reports.
- The QA Specialist will work closely with internal teams to verify that all reports meet the required standards and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Review technical content for accuracy and ensuring consistent formatting style and structure throughout the document.
- Conduct final quality control (QC) checks before reports are submitted to clients, regulatory bodies, or other stakeholders.
- Ensure that reports are professionally presented, free from typographical errors, and consistent in language and tone.
- Work closely with project managers, project geologists, and project engineers to clarify any issues or discrepancies in the reports.
- Reviews proper documentation of soil and groundwater investigation activities to define nature and extent of contamination.
- Identify areas where report quality or review processes can be improved and recommend solutions.
- Reviews and evaluates analytical data.
- Opportunities for field work might be available.
Minimum Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor's degree in earth sciences, geology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in environmental field work such as groundwater sampling or industrial hygiene
- Experience writing or reviewing technical reports, especially those related to environmental compliance and risk assessments.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to spot inconsistencies and errors in complex documents.
- Strong communication skills for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- This role requires a keen eye for detail, understanding of environmental regulations, and technical knowledge of the environmental industry (experience with the Florida DEP Petroleum Restoration Program is helpful).

If required, individual must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to; hard hats, safety-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Job is performed in a combination of office work, work throughout occupied and unoccupied buildings, and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Building assessments will be conducted throughout buildings including crawl spaces, attic spaces, and confined spaces. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
