JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Patient Care - Consistently integrates age specific and culturally diverse concepts into patient care, taking into consideration both the patient's chronological age and developmental functioning. Consistently provides assessments to patients across one service line but has skills and training to cover additional service lines (psychiatric/primary mental health inpatient and outpatient, neuropsychology inpatient and outpatient, partial hospitalization). Achieves minimum clinical commitment of 4.5 billable hours per day.
  • Compliance - Sustain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Support leadership in Compliance efforts to meet and sustain the regulatory compliance efforts of the department and hospital. Be mindful and judicious in monitoring safety and departmental policies and procedures. Ensure all individual certifications and Safety College requirements are fulfilled in a timely basis. Work with department managers to identify and share safety best practices. Be mindful of CCHMCs processes and compliance with CMS standards and freely communicate safety and compliance concerns to leadership team members.
  • Testing - Administer most commonly used psychological tests for 1-2 service lines. Score the test consistent with the population. Administer IQ and Achievement tests. When standardized testing is not possible, evaluate the patient's level of functioning by engaging in constructive play situations. Score all tests accurately and in the timeframe specified by the Division.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor of Psychology OR Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
