Position Title: Project Manager
Company: Top utility company in SoCal

Work Location: North Orange County and inland (Candidates ideally located in central or East LA, LA, or North OC)
Remote/Onsite: Mostly remote with occasional site visits for project meetings (0-1 site visits/week)

Education Requirement: Bachelors Degree preferred

Top Skills:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience with a background in field construction projects (not residential)
• Utilities or Oil and Gas industry experience
• Experience managing complex projects (ie. Complexities caused by railroads, freeways, wetlands, Caltrans, etc)
• Experience managing projects $1 million+ in budget
• Right of Way and Permitting experience
• Proficiency with budgeting and project planning
• Strong presentation skills
• Experienced with MS Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Soft Skills:

• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Confident
• Detail oriented

Plus Skills:

• Pipeline construction experience
• Experience with SAP

Additional Information:

• This Project Manager will be joining the Gas Distribution Capital Projects group. The projects they'll be assigned to will be primary distribution pipeline construction projects upwards of $1 million in funding, or smaller projects deemed to be highly complex

Responsibilities:

• Manage, track, and document project status as it moves through the phases within the Capital Delivery Model
• Manage vendor communication and track vendor progress on deliverables
• Collaborate with internal Teams for project planning and project reconciliation
• Work with city municipalities to obtain permits as needed
• Negotiate with municipalities and other 3rd parties to drive solutions
• Manage and monitor construction progress throughout the project lifecycle
• Be solution oriented when dealing with project complexities
• Oversee reconciliation and ensure paperwork and documentation is completed for each project
• Develop powerpoints or slidedecks for project meetings as needed
