Job Description:
GDH Consulting is hiring a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our client's dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in managing medium to large or multiple small customer-facing projects, with a focus on deploying leading-edge technologies in a complex commercial environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from inception to completion, ensuring all projects meet budget, time, and quality requirements. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere, with a preference for candidates who are ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, technology-driven setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage medium to large, or multiple small customer-facing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards.
  • Create detailed project schedules and plans, outlining financial, resource, and material requirements.
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals and agreements, presenting service business value to customers for new or existing business.
  • Oversee project staff, including project engineers, vendors, partners, and subcontractors, ensuring effective collaboration and project progress.
  • Manage the project from start to completion, including the resolution of any project issues, and maintain a customer satisfaction score of 4.5 or higher.
  • Accountable for the project budget, providing regular updates and adjustments as necessary to stakeholders.
  • May manage internal projects/programs and ongoing optimization service to deployed customer networks.
  • Understand the organization, its aims, and processes, contributing positively to the team and the project's success.
Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent, plus 4-5 years related experience in the networking/telecommunications industry.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years managing LAN and/or WAN network implementation and support, plus 2-3 years in a clearly defined Project Management role.
  • Completion or significant progress in a formal Project Management training program (e.g., PMP, PRINCE 2, ESi).
  • Basic knowledge of routing, routing protocols, switching, internet, and general network architecture.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience working with large project teams and strategic account teams.
  • Working knowledge of the sales process, including risk assessment and scoping.
  • Good understanding of legal issues with contracts, advanced negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Major account experience and partner services delivery model experience are preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in remote customer sites and possess service solutions sales skills.
