The Program Manager provides marketing, publishing, administrative, technical, statistical, market analysis, market growth strategies, KPIs, and auditing advice. This is in support of the Director of CAP, Vendor Programs, and personnel conducting the Type Approval Processes, certification of Service Suppliers, and other related services.

What You Will Do:

• Stays familiar with the ABS Rules, Engineering, Survey process instructions, and the ISO 9000 Quality Schemes.
• Dialogues closely with the Corporate Marketing Department to help identify new and novel approaches to increase the value of ABS Certification and Classification services.
• Monitors the Type Approval of ABS's competitors to report on their activities and recommend improvements to make ABS more competitive.
• Assists in attending booths at trade shows and conducts client seminars (as appropriate) to advance ABS's interests.
• Dialogues closely with the Corporate Commercial Operations to help identify and implement Sales traceability and any other possible indicators and measurements.
• Monitors the sales dashboards, identifying deviations and recommending actions to keep and grow ABS market position as changes occur.
• Dialogues closely with the Corporate and Regional Business Development to coordinate actions on Sales and related activities.
• Cooperates with the Survey Manager and Freedom Support team, IMS, Marketing, and the worldwide Technical and Survey departments, will ensure technical consistency and maintain the appearance of the ABS Web sites containing data.
• Assists with ABS Academy in developing courses and training of ABS personnel in the Certification of Service Supplier and Products using Quality Assurance and Quality Control criteria.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or recognized equivalent in a related technical discipline.
• Qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant seagoing experience as a certificated ship officer.
• Prior QA/QC and auditing experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficiency in the English language commensurate with the scope of statutory certification and services.
• Able to understand the operations, products, and services of ABS Programs.
• Clarity and conciseness in oral and written communications demonstrated the capability to produce effective presentations for delivery to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work well with others at various levels of the corporation.
• Able to become familiar with the ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to a Director level role and may have direct reports.

Working Conditions:

The work environment will primarily be an air-conditioned office setting requiring the employee to sit for prolonged periods while talking on the phone, reading from a computer monitor, and typing on a keyboard. In addition, the team member may occasionally lift items that weigh up to 15 pounds.
