Purpose

This position will oversee the provision of case management services to eligible clients in the Refugee Cash Assistance Program. This position will ensure that data is accurate, reports are submitted on time, and services are provided to the highest possible standard. The RCA Program Manager will supervise a team of case workers, Sr case manager and case assignment coordinator, who will provide intake, assessment, and other case management services to eligible clients.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Supervise eligibility screening, intake, and assessment of new clients by staff members.

  • Oversee the selection, onboarding, and training of new staff members under programs in portfolio.

  • Provide technical oversight and support for establishment and maintenance of routine monitoring systems, presentation of findings and building related staff competencies

  • Ensure the collection of accurate client outcome data.

  • Communicate the impact of proper data collection to CWS Jersey City team.

  • Collaborate closely with Data Integrity Coordinator to ensure accurate data collection, reporting and compliance with organizational standards.

  • Ensure efficient client assignment and case management coordination by working closely with Case Assignment Coordinator.

  • Ensure all personal identifiable information is held to the highest confidentiality standard.

  • Ensure staff participate in trainings regarding new data collection systems.

  • Ensure efficient systems in place for program staff to collect and compile relevant and concise information for routine project reports and occasional special reports as required

  • Coordinate with donors and grant funders to ensure timely and accurate program reports.

  • Support local finance staff with data quality and reporting when requested.

  • Provide trend analysis to funders to predict cash assistance needs.

  • Prepare program staff for monitoring visits.

  • Participate in regular meetings with funders, including the New Jersey Office for Refugees (NJOR).

  • Attend coordination meetings with other resettlement sites implementing similar programming.

  • Report systemic issues to relevant state agencies.

  • Attends local and national training conferences as instructed by the Associate Director.

  • Assists Associate Director for Integration in any duties he/she deems necessary. Undertake other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree, at least 2 years' experience in refugee services or related field, and at least 2 years supervisory experience are required.
  • Master's degree in related field and knowledge of refugee language are preferred.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 6 years of professional experience required, preferably in the field of direct services working with immigrant and refugee communities.
    • They will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence with a track record that includes close attention to detail, strong project coordination and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills including in-person networking, and writing skills and a high degree of cultural competency.

    • At least 2 years of personnel management experience is required. Must be comfortable with public speaking and representing CWS programs in meetings and facilitating training.
Other Skills:
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • The successful candidate must be highly computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as basic MS Office functionality and high capacity in internet-based research.
