Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are looking for a Production Specialist to join our team in our Berea, OH facility.

Shift: 7:00 am- 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday

Job Summary:

The Shipping/Receiving & Production Specialist is responsible for preparing and shipping product for customer orders and the receiving of raw materials and incoming goods. This position will also perform mixing and packaging of finished goods as needed. The S/R&P Specialist is responsible for the cleanliness of the work area, using all required PPE, and following proper operating procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Prepare outgoing shipments by verifying information against bills of lading, pick slips, or other records.
* Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons
* Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and provide information to Carlisle employees to rectify damages and shortages. Responsible to route items to appropriate departments.
* Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
* Load all outbound box trucks - 20', 40' containers, 48', 53' box trucks.
* Load and unload tanker trucks.
* Sample tanker trucks for QC.
* Operate process equipment such as storage tanks, transfer pumps, mixing vessels, and related piping.
* Prepare product packaging by moving drums/totes to Production area using forklift, affixing labels, and arranging containers to receive product
* Package contents of processing vessel into 5-gal pails, 55-gal drums or 275-gal totes using pressurized pumping systems equipped with filtration and fluid measurement equipment
* Batch chemical components per formula specifications and complete all required documentation
* Ensure batch quality and integrity, and meet production schedules
* Deliver batch samples and required documentation to QA Lab
* Maintain and clean plant facilities, i.e. plant floors, storage areas, mixing/storage tanks, hoses, pumps, etc.
* Follow established company rules and regulations, safety precautions, and maintain quality standards
* Follow established company Quality System Procedures and Work Instructions
* Move materials throughout the plant via forklifts, forklift pickers, etc.
* During heavy workload periods, provide assistance in plant tasks
* Assist Health and Safety person with plant safety.
* Use COS tools to produce the best results and continually improve the processes.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

* Skills:

* Possess above average mechanical and mathematical aptitude; able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common franctions and decimals.
* Accurately read gauges and measuring devices
* Communicate effectively in both oral and written form; able to prepare short correspondence, emails and memos.
* Safely and efficiently operate various types of production equipment
* Abilities:

* High degree of attention to detail in fast paced environment
* Self-starter and able to execute job tasks with limited supervision
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
* Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education and Experience:

* Required:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* 3-5 years' experience working in manufacturing with mixing/blending equipment or other heavy industrial equipment.
* Preferred:

* Forklift certification

Working Conditions:

* This position is located in a chemical plant.
* Capable of working in all types of weather and inside in a non-air-conditioned facility.
* Frequent use of eyes and hands are required in performing tasks that require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
* This position requires the incumbent to frequently stand, walk, reach, stoop, carry, handgrip, bend and lift to 50 lbs.
* The employee may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes and airborne particles. Use of PPE is required.
