Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Kingman is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Production Lead. This position will play a key role in the growth and development of the Nucor Kingman team. Responsibilities will include supporting the Melt Shop team where needed and filling in different leadership positions. This position will be expected to create a focus on safety for the entire team, supporting the direction of melt shop operations, overseeing the production process to ensure capacity demands and quality standards are met, help the casting, melting, and refractory team develop, and effectively manage projects that improve our overall operations. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 Years of Melt Shop Experience
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Prior teammate training and development.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior leadership experience in Melting or Casting
• Caster, EAF, or Refractory operational experience
• Understanding of business and processes
• Knowledge of operational systems and maintenance best practices
