Your Role

At MilliporeSigma, at our St Louis Spruce Street location, as the Procurement Specialist 1, you will coordinate the purchasing of materials/services to ensure availability to support manufacturing schedules while balancing supply and demand to meet financial goals. The Procurement Specialist utilizes the current SAP system for planning and purchasing of materials as required and will also make recommendations to management on potential purchases, monitoring trends, and providing key performance metrics.

  • Purchase Raw/Bill of Material (BOM) items with guidance from the Planner
  • Review parked/blocked invoices to ensure vendors are paid on time
  • Support Supply Risk activities
  • Review BOM inventory levels and escalate when material is not delivered per expectations
  • Site SME for all ordering and assists all functional areas in troubleshooting purchasing problems
  • Leads change control efforts for vendor changes and/or changes to vendor material utilizing SAP as required to update information
  • Execute actions for audit readiness
  • Complete Deviations/CAPAs related to procurement
  • Support other sites with procurement activities, as required
  • Follows regulatory and standard requirements as applicable to the site, i.e., MDSAP, ISO 13485, IVDR, and compliance to the site Quality Manual
  • Other duties as assigned
Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Business with 2+ years of industry experience
  • High school or GED with 6+ years of industry experience
  • 1+ years SAP experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in production planning and scheduling
  • APICS Certification
  • Procurement experience
  • Knowledge of ERP System Master Data (Bill of Materials (BOM) and Routings)
  • Oracle ERP knowledge
  • Excel, Business Objects, or other data warehouse management experience
  • SAP and MS Access knowledge
