The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $101,404 to $139,431
SUMMARY OF CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acts as a single point of control and contact for assigned business units within Corporate Functions to ensure each unit 1) remains compliant with budget; 2) is accurate and compliant with applicable laws and regulations and 3) is compliant with the ONECORP model, which focuses on standardizing and aligning certain processes across Group companies. Primary activities relate to identifying discrepancies in, and driving corrections to, relevant SAP data, while maintaining a strong working relationship with units and providing influence,
knowledge, and resources to help reduce future discrepancies and deviations.
Core areas of responsibility include reviewing and analyzing budget entries; reviewing materials and services requisitions; maintaining SAP analytical orders (AOs); analyzing spend and other activity and generating relevant reports for management, units, and auditors; answering questions from units and providing education and training on budget, accounting, and ONECORP compliance; and other assigned areas of responsibility or special projects relevant to reviewing units' Control activity against applicable standards.
PRIMARY TASKS
1. Budget Control
Monitors and controls SAP budget load and budget revisions of assigned units. Prepares budget planning timelines, specifications, and instructions for all approved processes and communicates those to process owners. Works closely with units to resolve budget issues and develop solutions. Provide updates, direction, and resources to unit. Review and process budget transfer requests. Ensure that units meet ongoing planning requirements and support end users in SAP budget activities.
Assist with the load and ensure accuracy and reconciliation of official information such as budget and quarterly revisions into the SAP system for assigned corporate functions. This includes external services, operating income, other taxes, depreciation, and capital expenditures (Capex) for various projects.
2. Reporting and Analysis
Prepares and analyzes budget reports, variance reports, KPI reports, and similar. Provides reports to individual operating company affiliates, management, auditors, and other stakeholders as required. Makes recommendations based on trends, variances, and compliance with internal and external standards. Monitors and reacts to SAP system updates or errors that may impact accuracy of reporting.
3. Requisition Control
Monitors and controls all incoming requisitions for materials and supplies. Review for accuracy and adherence to budget, accounting standards, and ONECORP model. Approve or reject as needed. Provide reports and resources to unit end users as needed, such as requisition status, direction regarding material codes and cost elements, PO analysis and direction, and related SAP support.
4. Order and Asset Control
Creation and control of new analytical orders and assets in SAP. Review requests for new orders and ensure accuracy in creation. Close orders no longer needed, communicate changes, and support resolution of any related impacts to the units.
5. Accounting Close
Perform transactional accounting duties for processes not automatically performed by the system. Monitor expense and create accruals to reflect correct expense and P&L impact monthly, create accrual engines, create JE to move costs within the P&L to reflect a correct accounting, in addition to other responsibilities.
6. Related Control Responsibilities
This role also includes contributing to special projects and may also include specializing in specific areas within the department, depending on business needs. Examples include but are not limited to: assisting with the development of short- and long-term budget projections; contributing information for regulatory and compliance reporting; participating in internal and external audits; developing end user resources and training materials to assist units in common tasks such as budget load; monitoring and controlling intercompany charges, labor recharges, and shared costs; monitoring headcount and personnel reporting; and similar.
Focus on improving and automating existing processes within the control team. Allowing the team to improve the quality of analysis provided to corporate customers.
Key contact for the newly implemented real estate module (following standard IFRS16). Reviewing corporate contracts to ensure we follow the standard and we identify and include all the Lease contracts into the module. Also, make sure the corporate functions accurately maintain and update these contracts in the system.
