Job Summary:

The Plant Engineer is responsible for the overall engineering and maintenance operations within the manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong technical background, coupled with excellent leadership and project management skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a manufacturing environment, with a deep understanding of packaging industry processes and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Capital Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of capital projects to improve production efficiency, safety, and quality. Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Equipment Maintenance: Implement and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to optimize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Utilize CMMS software to track maintenance activities, spare parts, and equipment history.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve production processes through the application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and achieve cost reductions.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing maintenance team. Provide technical guidance, training, and development to team members. Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Facility Maintenance: Ensure the overall condition and safety of the manufacturing facility. Coordinate facility repairs, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Compliance: Maintain compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial)
• 3-5 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience in capital project management
• Strong understanding of CMMS systems
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills
• Familiarity with TPM and Lean Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience in the packaging industry preferred
