We are seeking a Phlebotomist for a Family Practice in Euless, TX!

Job Details:

Job title: Phlebotomist

Location: Euless, TX 76039

Hours: 8:00 am - 12:30pm and 1:30pm - 5:00pm: Mon-Fri

Work type: Contract

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Performs venipuncture using vacutainer, syringe, and butterfly techniques; capillary punctures using heel and finger stick techniques on patients
• Collects, identifies, labels, and processes specimens according to protocol
• Maintains knowledge of all routine containers and minimum volumes required for specimen collection, and complies with laboratory ordering and billing compliance
• Enters laboratory data accurately into the computer system and responds timely to abnormal and panic values
• Cleans and sterilizes equipment, instruments, and work area and ensures preventive maintenance is performed on all equipment and monitors
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Current National certification as Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing to perform quality control checks. 1+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques to perform routine blood and urine tests. 1+ years of experience.
